Kitzbühel Men’s Slalom Start List | Hahnenkammrennen 2026

The Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup closes the iconic Hahnenkammrennen with men’s slalom on Sunday, January 25, 2026, as the world’s best technical skiers line up on the Ganslern for one of the most demanding slalom races of the season.

The official start list is now set, and this preview also includes the daily program, full start list details, and complete information on when and how to watch Sunday’s race — all key elements for fans following the Hahnenkamm weekend.

Sunday’s race is the eighth of 11 men’s World Cup slaloms scheduled for the 2025–26 season. Two slaloms remain before the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, followed by two more after the Olympics, leaving little margin for error as the discipline title race unfolds.

Men’s World Cup Slalom — Season Standings (Top Five)

After Wengen

  • 1) 🇳🇴 Atle Lie McGrath (NOR) — YOB 2000 — 372 ptsHEAD
  • 2) 🇧🇷 Lucas Pinheiro Braathen (BRA) — YOB 2000 — (–21)Atomic, Oakley
  • 3) 🇫🇷 Clément Noël (FRA) — YOB 1997 — (–29)
  • 4) 🇫🇷 Paco Rassat (FRA) — YOB 1998 — (–32)HEAD
  • 5) 🇳🇴 Timon Haugan (NOR) — YOB 1996 — (–42)

The defining storyline in men’s slalom continues to be how competitive the discipline has become. After seven races, just 42 points separate the top five, making it the most tightly contested discipline in alpine skiing across either gender. There is no safe favorite, no predictable podium, and no margin to manage — only opportunity. That uncertainty is exactly what adds to the excitement heading into Kitzbühel.

One additional storyline adds weight to Sunday’s race. Dave Ryding, a Kitzbühel slalom winner and the most successful British World Cup slalom skier in history, will race on the Ganslern for the final time in his career. Ryding announced before the season that 2025–26 would be his last, making each start this winter part of a farewell tour across the World Cup circuit. His Kitzbühel victory remains a landmark moment for British alpine skiing, and his final appearance here adds another layer of significance to Sunday’s slalom.
